Andrew Holt worked for 10 years as a solicitor before moving to Africa with his family in 1992 to manage Kagando Hospital in Western Uganda for five years. He then worked as director of administration for a large church in Bracknell. After a career change he became finance manager for Dementia UK, followed by nine years as finance Director for InterHealth Worldwide, a UK charity with bases in London and Nairobi.
Tris founded Konnect Cornwall with Ian following a career which included working as a mechanic and tin miner before he joined the police force. Working with offenders, often with addiction issues, he took every opportunity to encourage them to change their lives. Tris is a married father-of-three, grandfather-of-seven, and, with wife Heather, is a foster carer. He has particular expertise in therapeutic, motivational and mentoring work with disadvantaged families, damaged teens and children. As operations manager for Konnect his aim is to empower families and young people to realise their potential and fulfil their ambitions.
Along with Tris Ley, Ian set up Konnect Cornwall to put the skills he and others have gained within the professional public services to direct use in communities. After a career in the Royal Navy, Ian Curnow served with the police force. Here he was part of a multi-agency team developing a Prolific Offender Unit for Cornwall to ensure adult offenders are given the best opportunity of resettlement, and career criminals are diverted from a life of crime. As Konnect’s development manager he has a vision to bring organisations of a similar mind-set together to facilitate real and enduring change. Ian is married with three grown-up children.
