Volunteering with Konnect

Konnect Volunteers is an initiative based in Cornwall helping people to find fresh, new hope for their lives. We work with dedicated volunteers providing both practical and social support to people in their local community.

Helping hands volunteer

To complement our Konnect Volunteers, we also have a team of Peer Mentors. Peer Mentors are an integral part of our the Volunteer Team with ‘lived’ experience relative to the people we work with i.e., mental health issues, trauma, abuse, criminal convictions, long term unemployment etc. So, if you have ‘lived’ experience we especially want to support you to work with us.

There are people in your community who need you!

We know that this is a difficult time for all of us but for many people in our communities they face huge barriers and battle each day to find hope that things will ever get better. With the helping hand of a volunteer, an individual can continue their journey toward making the changes they wish for, finding hope and fulfilling their potential.

We have some truly great people helping to make a difference to the lives of people in our communities.

Help Konnect to deliver its vision; “To see people experience real change that lasts”

We have volunteering opportunities to provide:

                • Befriending of isolated and lonely people
                • Practical help for those in need
                • Life skills support
                • A listening ear
                • Supporting on our in-house Life Choices programme
                • Supporting and promoting Konnect at events

We provide all volunteers with training and ongoing support following a safe recruitment process.

If you are interested in a volunteering role with Konnect you can email contact us or call on 01736 339277 and we will arrange for our Volunteer/Peer Mentor Co-ordinator to get in touch with you for an initial, no commitment, chat.
